Acropolis Faculty of Management & Research and Faculty of Management Studies have conducted Fourth Management Fest “ENIGMA-2013” on 22-23-24 January, 2013. The three-day exuberant festival Enigma was aimed at discovering the hidden talents of students across the state. There were 18 events in three days, namely- Business Plan, Kaizen, Sudoku, Extempore, Ad mad show, Photography, Documentary making, Management quiz, presentation, Treasure Hunt, Shoe painting, Skit, Antakshari, Dance competition, Singing and Model Hunt. The first two days were having management and presentation based events while the third day “Viraasat” was positioned as a unique cultural event, where the theme was ‘fusion of centuries’.
Enigma event started off with Inaugural function on 22 January 2012. The Chief Guest was Dr. R. S. Jain, Managing Director, Indore Tools Limited. The director of host institution Prof. Sumer Singh Yadav gave preface about Enigma, its need, importance, contents and overall objectives of “Learning by doing”. The event coordinator Prof. Priyanka Mokshamar threw light upon the history of Enigma and the events thereon. Chief Guest Dr. Jain enlightened the students with his speech. He said that new technology coupled with innovation brings all round success to the organisation. He congratulated the institute for organizing such event. Chairman Acropolis Mr. Gaurav Sojatia appreciated the efforts of MBA students for Enigma. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Jitendra Sharma. Business Plan was the first event of Enigma followed by presentation, Sudoku, extempore, photography and ad mad show. More than 450 students from 35 business schools like- IMS, IIPS, Prestige, IPS Academy, Shri Vaishnav Institute, Medicaps, Sapient, LNCT, Patel college, Jaipuria, Core Business School, CHIMC, Modern college, School of Economics, EMRC-DAVV and Star college are participating in Enigma with full zeal.
The events on second day were- documentary making where the participants were required to show their college life in the form of movie. The winner of this event was Jaipuria college team. The management quiz was organized to test the business aptitude of the management students. In treasure hunt, the students were given hidden clues, where they had to identify the signs and complete the task. The winner of this event was Star college team. In shoe painting, the participants were required to paint the shoe and show their creativity, the winner was from EMRC- DAVV Indore. In Kaizen competition, the quality aspect of management was reflected, where the management students had shows the small steps where Kaizen helped in getting things done easily. In skit competition, the students covered social and other issues by dramatics.
The third day of Enigma witnessed many interesting events, where students participated with full enthusiasm and exhibited their potential. The Antakshari event was organized to explore the interest of music among the participants where more than 20 teams participated and EMRC team was winner. In singing competition, the students explored singing talents, where judges appreciated them. The winner were from SD Bansal college. In dance competition, solo and group dance presentations were made. The students have shown from classical to disco dance forms. In special performance, famous classical dancer Smt. Ragini Makkhar has enthralled the audience with her Katthak dance. Renowned classical singer Mr. Gautam Kale has shown his special talent in Viraasat. The model hunt was organized where the students walked on the ramp for showing their talent. The enigma coordinator Prof. Priyanka Mokshmar stated that this is the festival of the students, for the students and by the students. Such events help in overall development of students in various dimensions. All the participants and guests have appreciated the event with full zeal.
The response of various participants has been encouraging for all the events. Enigma-13 was sponsored by Indore Central, Punjab Engineering, Maniram Jewelers, Talwalkars, VLCC, Bonanza, Chocolate Room, Cosmopolitan, Deepak Garg Associates, Helios Watch Store, Diners zone, ND Tattoo Studio, O2 disc & lounge, Oakaz café lounge, and Scissors salon.
