An expert talk was organized on ‘Recent Trend in Project Management’ for the MBA students by Prof Juhi Kamakoty,  under the aegis of Kaizen Club. The resource person for the event was Mr. Amit Pradhan, CEO RYMP (Rejuvenate your Project Management Skills), Indore.  A mechanical engineer from SGSITS, Indore , he is donned with various certifications like SCRUM, PMP, Six sigma from various internationally acclaimed institutes like- PMP, SCRUM etc. and spans a vast eclectic career in industry, academia and consultancy.

Mr. Amit Pradhan talked about the latest project management (PM) techniques and trends. The resource person discussed the various on field projects he has handled to give the students an idea of applicability of  the subject.  He reinstated the need of appending the PM knowledge with the latest tools and techniques of the domain to enhance the employability of the students. The resource person introduced terms like SCRUM, adaptive and predictive PM, which are actually used in the contemporary scenario and enlightened students on the various PMP & SCRUM certification courses.  He also highlighted the relevance of the subject for MBA students and emphasized on developing the right attitude and skill set from the  first day itself if they perceive a career in this line. He stated that it is an evergreen and dynamic field with challenging jobs. The students need to have the right knowledge and skill to make it big here.

The students were excited to know about this unsought field and interacted with the resource person to satisfy their inquisitiveness. The expert talk eventually ended opening up new horizons for the students.
