Acropolis believes that research brings innovation and new ideas. Looking upon such need to explore newer areas of innovative practices in business with value creation, Acropolis has taken an initiative to invite the academicians and industry people at one platform in the shape of Conference. Acropolis Faculty of Management & Research Indore has organized Second International Conference on 27 December, 2012. Doctoral thesis contest was also hosted during the event, where various research scholars presented their thesis and got cash prize.
The conference was inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. Nageshwar Rao, [Professor- Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Business Management Ujjain] and Guests of Honour Mr. Kapil Rokade [GM- Marketing, Sanchi] and Mr. Nitish Mathur [Head HR- Bhandari Foils] by lamp lighting ceremony. In his welcome speech, director of Acropolis Faculty of Management & Research Dr. Sumer Singh stated that in business world, innovation is the mantra for survival and success. Along with innovative business practices, value creation is must. The Chief Guest Prof. Rao congratulated the institute for organizing such conference. He emphasized the need for quality research in academics. He said that such platforms are necessary for bringing the research issues. Mr. Kapil Rokade insisted in quality of research and appreciated the concern of Acropolis for organizing such conferences. Mr. Nitish Mathur highlighted on industry-institute interface initiatives by academia. The second volume of Acropolis journal “Shodh-Ganga” and “Conference Proceedings” were released during the conference.
The entire day had technical sessions on paper presentations in Marketing, Finance, HR, general management along with Doctoral Thesis contest. Papers were presented across various functional areas including- brand loyalty, brand image, market segmentation, consumer behavior, green marketing, financial regulations, co-integration, econometric analysis, emotional labour, managerial failure, employee turnover, performance appraisal, service quality in b-schools etc. Papers were received from places like Mexico, Malaysia from abroad and Chennai, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Mangalore, Jaipur, Haryana, Varodara, Udaipur, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Dewas, Ujjain and Indore.
The valedictory session was addressed by Dr. J. P. Upadhyaya [Director- Jaipuria Institute of Management Indore]. There were 40 papers published in proceedings from places like Malaysia, Chennai, Hyderabad, Odisha, Mangalore, Jaipur, Baroda, Udaipur, Haryana, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Dewas, Ujjain.
