“The foundation of your life is luck. Hard work and talent make up the difference.”

– Dennis Lehane

‘Udyamita’ the Entrepreneurship Club of AFMR organised an interesting activity named ‘Serendipity’, meaning ‘Happy Chance’ on 4th Oct 2018 in the MBA Lobby. The game was based on the luck and team coordination to solve a given problem. It was a team game where in each team consisted of 4 members & they had to solve a puzzle within the time duration of 5 minutes. The task was to find the correct path for reaching from start to finish in a 4 X 4 matrix using minimum number of team members, i.e minimum number of turns by each member of the team. Each team member was notified of every wrong move and had to join his team back like a relay race till the team solved the correct puzzle. 21 teams (84 students) actively participated in this activity. The teams scored points on the basis on the basis of least number of turns used by the team members. Two winning teams were decided on the basis of; maximum puzzled solved, number of players used and minimum time used. This activity enabled the students to understand the importance of team coordination and rapid decision making before they enter the corporate world. They also understood how luck factor despite having a small proportion in one’s success, still is an integral part of it.
