Acropolis Group of Institution, North Campus Annual Fest “ARDOR 2014”
Indore, 07 February 2014: Acropolis Institute, Manglia, Indore celebrated its five-day Annual Cultural Fest “ARDOR 2014” from February 03, 2014 to February 07, 2014.
07 February 2014 – MAIN DAY:
“Education is an accumulation of experiences and what you learn out of it. Try and maximize your experiences. This was transpired by Chief Guest, Dr. Sumer Singh, Principal, Daly College while inaugurating “ARDOR 2014” on February 07, 2014.
Further in his address, Dr. Sumer Singh said, “You must always match your career and passion to reach on top. Inculcate all the valued principles within yourself and enjoy what you are doing.” Dr. Singh emphasized on Innovation and Research which differentiates between a leader and a follower. He said, “Innovation and Research is what the world is made of in every sphere. This leads to the difference between short term and long term economic rights.” Lastly, Dr. Singh shared the two ways to measure leadership. First one is whether a leader is able to make a positive difference in the life of the people around him. Second is how well a leader can create leaders out of the people around him.
Program started with Shiv Stuti and Saraswati Vandana. Inaugural address was given by Dr. Kamal Bharani, Principal, Acropolis Institute. Director, Dr. MD Agrawal presented Annual Report. During the function, various students were awarded with prizes for their excellent performance during the year and valuable contributions both nationally and internationally. Memento to chief guest was given by Group Chairman, Mr. Ashish Sojatia.
Cultural program started with Ganpati Vandana dance- “Shambu Sutaye”. Students won the heart of audiences by performing on famous Bollywood dance numbers “Havan Karenge” and “Lungi Dance”. Street Dance from was the next performance by the students and received tremendous applaud. Garba was performed on “Nagada sang dhol baje” song from Ramleela movie. Streets play covering social issues such as ‘Racism’ and ‘Gender Differences’ were showcased by students.
The Secretary for this five-day fest was Mr. Gaurav Chaitanya. Program was coordinated by Alka Sharma, Prachi Tiwari and Jayant Bihare. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. SK Sohani.
Activities held during 3 February to 6 February, 2014:
Debate Competition on Kejariwal Government is Practically Quite Feasible for Our Country was organized on February 03, 2014 in which students shared their views on for and against. T-Shirt Painting and Ad Mad Show were also organized on the same day.
On February 04, 2014, Rangoli Competition and Face Painting were organized. On the same day, ‘Kavyanjali’-Kavi Sammelan was organized which was judged by renowned Kavi and Shayar – Mr. Satlaj Rahat & Mr. Ravi Kokar.
February 05, 2014 saw the cultural events such as “Swaranjali”-singing competition, “Nratyanjali”-dancing competition and “One minute to fame”.
February 06, 2014 saw mesmerizing performances by Acro Students in “Fashion Show” and “Acro Band Concert”. Prize distribution ceremony was also held on the same day in the presence of Mr. Anil Dhupar.
