Indore, January 20, 2014: Acropolis Business School, South Campus, Indore inaugurated fifth Annual Management Fest“ENIGMA-2014” on January 20, 2014. The three-day exuberant festival Enigma was aimed at discovering the hidden talents of management students across the state. There were 16 events in three days- Business Plan, Presentation, Sudoku, Extempore, Ad mad show, Photography, Documentary making, Management quiz, Treasure Hunt, Zombie making, Skit, Antakshari, Dance competition, Singing and Model Hunt. The third day “Viraasat” was a unique cultural event, where the theme was ‘fusion of centuries’.
Enigma event started off with Inaugural function on 20 January 2012. The Chief Guest was Mr. Malay Chaturvedi, an eminent HR specialist and Guest of Honour was Mr. Shailesh Nigoyi, Director, Board of Governors Acropolis Group. The director of host institution Dr. Sumer Singh gave preface about Enigma, its need, importance, contents and overall objectives of “Learning by doing”. He laid emphasis on Practice through action along with skill development and manpower necessity. The event coordinator Prof. Pooja Talreja threw light upon the chronology of Enigma and the events thereon.
Guest of Honour Mr. Shailesh Niyogi has highlighted on personal effectiveness program and emphasized on passion, team work and success. He motivated the students to get inspired from the life of Swami Vivekanand. One should be ready to make difference.Chief Guest Mr. Malay Choudhary enlightened the students with his speech and said that there should be competency building based on visualization, attitude, business acumen, entrepreneurship, cross-cultural competency and change management. Chairman BOG Shri A. K. Sojatia ji welcomed the guests and congratulated the students for organizing such events. The inaugural event was coordinated by Advita Choube and Shyamali Ashirwadam. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Jitendra Sharma.
Business Plan was the first event of Enigma followed by presentation, Sudoku, extempore, photography and ad mad show. More than 250 students from 30 business schools like- IMS, Prestige, IPS Academy, Shri Vaishnav Institute, Medicaps, Patel college, Jaipuria, Core Business School, Modern college, Malwa institute, Gujarati Professional Institute, School of Economics, EMRC-DAVV and Graduate School of Business are participating in Enigma with full zeal. The Enigma fest started off with Alumni Meet “Samaagam” on 19 January, where alumni of the institute have shared their experience and have played sports and other activities. The response of various participants has been encouraging for all the events. Enigma-14 is sponsored by Brand Shoppe, Amrit dairy, Ganga, CIA, Lavanya, Look, Man’s salon, Bajaj optician, Rajani opticians, Oakaz, property temple, Rasili Duniya, RR Automative, Santushti, Sit & Grab, Sampoorna shop.
The events on second day were- Documentary making where the participants were required to show their documentary on the theme ‘beauty of nature’. The winner of this event was team from Malwa institute. The Management quiz was organized to test the business aptitude of the management students on various grounds, where teams have shows their mettle. The most adventurous event was treasure hunt, where students were given hidden clues, where they had to identify the signs and complete the task. InZombie making, the participants were required to paint the partner in the most deadly appearance. In Skit Competition, the students have covered social and other issues by dramatics.
The third day of Management Fest “Enigma” organized by Acropolis Business School was based on the theme “Viraasat: Fusion of centuries”. To give a chance for management students to exhibit their extracurricular activities in terms of cultural activities, Viraasat was organized. This has been an attempt to have a glimpse of the glorious past of Indian culture along with today’s India.
The Antakshari event was organized to explore the interest of music among the participants where various teams participated and winner was declared. In singing competition, the students have explored their singing talents, where eminent judges have appreciated them and declared the winners. In dance competition, solo and group dance presentations were made. The students have shown dance forms ranging from classical to contemporary disco beats. Renowned music expert Mr. Prashant Moghe & Mr. Shakti Singh were the judge in this event, where they appreciated the spirit of the students who represented various business schools. The final event was model hunt where the students walked on the ramp for showing their talent on various themes. It was judged by Ms. Archana Dar of Lavanya. Such events help in overall development of students in various dimensions. All the participants and guests appreciated the event with full zeal. The valedictory function was graced by Mr. Rajnish Jain, who congratulated the institute for the success of Enigma.
