Acropolis Institute shines at E-Week at Schools Activity

Indore, February 16, 2013: The thrill of dreaming big, the joy of turning that dream into reality – in today’s India, more and more opportunities are open to young people, as long as they have the right skills and knowledge. Keeping this in mind, Acropolis Institute, Indore one of the celebrators for E Week has gone nuts reaching out to schools of upcountry of the city Indore preaching entrepreneurship in schools from 7 years to 12 years of children’s sowing the seed of entrepreneurship.
This year Acropolis students has reached out more than 1400 hundred schools comprising of rural & urban schools both in just 20 days. Total number of children’s participated in this campaign was 2,21,019.
The E-week at schools activity started by NEN in 2012 provided an opportunity for faculty, and volunteers, to introduce their students to the joy and skills of entrepreneurship by running an exercise called the Rs. 50 Exercise. This exercise has been adapted to work for students aged 7 – 12 years. In Rs. 50 game students were supposed to form teams and each team then came up with an idea to starts a “company” investing a maximum of Rs. 50. By the end of the half day exercise, they saw how much they had learned and earned.
E Week will culminate on 16th February, 2013 followed by a gala Awards Ceremony in Bangalore on 23rdFebruary, 2013. Student representatives of the Award winners will be flown to Bangalore for the Awards Ceremony attended by students from various institutes, eminent people from the industry and the government.
