Objective of the Event:  Webinar and Panel discussions to celebrate 1 year of National Education Policy 2020.

The faculties and students of Acropolis Faculty of Management and Research (AFMR), Indore attended e webinar and panel discussions hosted by MIC on 11 Aug 2021. The speakers mentioned about the Indian legacy in the field of Research and Education. All the dignitaries of MIC highlighted the importance of NEP, its objectives and changes for future. Following the introductory remarks, three Panel discussions were organized on the topics namely; Ensuring Excellence and relevance in Research, Building Innovation and Entrepreneurial ecosystem & Strategy for HEIS for excellence in the global ranking.

Following are a few of the important points discussed by the panellists:

  1. Allocation of more Government grants for quality Research.
  2. Need for better model of public funding and reduced import dependence.
  3. Grading of Innovative work is important
  4. Tenure track system needed for accounting of research activities
  5. India’s rank in terms of research and funding

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Innovation and quality Research are vital for a country’s success.
  2. Whether private or public, everyone needs to work together to achieve the mission of NEP.
