An expert talk was organized on ‘Kaizen Practices’ for the MBA students by Prof Juhi Kamakoty,  under the aegis of Kaizen Club. The resource person for the event was Mr. Rajeev Gupta.  An  engineer from SGSITS, Indore  spanning  a vast eclectic career in industry, academia and consultancy.

Mr. Rajeev Gupta  talked about the concept, origin and evolution of Kaizen. He asserted that Kaizen is a universal philosophy that may be applied to an individual, family, corporate, manufacturing or services. . The resource person discussed the  variousKaizen practices and procedures adopted  in industry to improve  continuously.  He emphasized the need for Kaizen to be adopted as a practice in  not only work but also personal life. Kaizen improves productivity, reduced waste and enhances the quality of life. Kiazen is not a  one stop solution but it is a continuous way of life. The  expert also cleared the misconception that Kaizen is an operations domain only, rather he said that Kaizen  hinges on HR domain  as well as  Kaizen is a positive change that can be brought about by people and only by people.  The students were excited to know about this unsought field and interacted with the resource person to satisfy their inquisitiveness. The expert talk eventually ended opening up new horizons for the students.
