Acropolis strongly believes  in supporting classroom teachings with  industry practices. The  abstract theories and concepts that are taught in the lectures are reinforced when the students see the practical implementation of the same in industries. Keeping up with the commitment to provide the  latest state of art education to our students , the institutes often complements  classroom teaching with industry  tours. In line with the same, an industrial visit had been organized for the students of MBA (Sem II and Sem IV Operation Stream) to Safe Express Logistic Park , Indore on  Sept 8, 2017. Safexpress offers a wide range of innovative supply chain services including Express Distribution, 3PL and Consulting. The firm provides value-added logistics services for 9 different business verticals ranging from Apparel & Lifestyle, E-commerce, Healthcare, Hi-Tech, Publishing to Automotive, Engineering & Electrical Hardware, FMCG & Consumer Electronics and Institutional.

During the visit, the students could see the enormity and the vastness of SC operations . The logistic park had spacious and high tech warehouses with provision for loading, unloading and cross docking. The  location,  infrastructure, layout, material handling  equipments at Safe express taught the students some very important lessons of Management. They could very clearly see the principles and theories of operations management applied at the Logistic park.  The visit not only  broadened their perspective  but at  the same time  reinforced their classroom  learnings.  Prof Snehal Phatak and Prof Juhi Kamakoty accompanied the students to the visit. The visit had been organised by Prof Juhi Kamakoty under the aegis of Kaizen club.
