To expose the students of first semester MBA to industry environment, a visit was organized by Kaizen club to Asha Confectionary ltd. The industry had a sound infrastructure, which sprawled over a wide area and was fully equipped with modern machinery & technology to manufacture superior grade products. For carrying out the work in a sophisticated manner, it had different departments like manufacturing, packaging, quality testing, researching, warehousing, supplying and administration. The warehousing system was well furnished and spacious to store the heavy bulks of products and safeguard them from any external harm till the final dispatch. The store was well connected with various transportation modes and installed with latest computerized management system that ensured timely delivery of the consignments to the clients on the regular basis.
This was the very first visit for the students. They were very eager to see and learn. They appreciated the grandness of the operations and got a good overview of industry, departments, shop floor, manufacturing, quality etc. The visit will help the students in broadening their perspective of business and develop understanding of management. Prof. Naman Shrivastav and Prof. Juhi Kamakoty accompanied the students.
