An industry visit to garment manufacturer was organized by Prof Juhi Kamakoty under the aegis of Kaizen club for MBA sen 3 students (Operations stream). The visit to this MSME setup was conducted with the purpose of developing the perspective of productivity management in MSME. The students were given a tour of the facility and brief on the processes involved in garment manufacturing. The students after the visit had various queries which were addressed by the owner of the setup.

The students could appreciate the various aspects of productivity – material, manpower, machine; how the concepts are related in practice, the problems & issues in productivity. They got an exposure to the shopfloor of MSME and an reinforced the learnings of one of  the courses of sem 3- Work Study and Productivity Management.
