Kaizen Lab was inaugurated by the dignitaries Er. Rajeev Gupta, Er Brajesh  Swarnkar on February 14, 2020 at 12.30 pm  in the   gracious  presence of hon’ble chairman Mr.  Gaurav Sojatia and other dignitaries.  Mr. Chandresh Geed and Ms Ashwita Kudroli also marked their presence as alumni members.

Kaizen Club stands on the philosophy  of  out of box thinking. This  philosophy has always  been manifested in all Kaizen club activities. Whether it is Productivity Paradox , Recyclothon , Quantathan or  Lightathon each and every activity is designed to foster learning in the students through unconventional means and ways.  To further concretize this philosophy the Kaizen club has established  Kaizen lab (Room 267, II floor, AFMR block) which is radically different from  the  traditional lab setup. It does not have machines to demonstrate mechanisms  but it has infrastructure  that demonstrates the reutilization of waste to create value. The entire infrastructure of lab ranging from curtains to cabinets , cupboards to chairs , drapes to danglers  has been made inhouse  from waste(workshop and paper waste).

The lab demonstrates the principal of creating value out of waste. It fosters  creativity amongst the students.  It also  advocates the need to generate out of box solution to perpetual  problem of resource scarcity. It  is an environment friendly lab that  sends across the same message across the students. Kaizen means continuous improvement- The lab  is not static, it is a dynamic lab , open to new ideas and  additions  but aligned to the philosophy of ’Out of Box Thinking  ‘

The lab has been conceptualized, develoed  and established by the Club Coordinator Juhi Kamakoty. Team of students comprising of – Prachi Patni, Tejas Gurati, Kunal Gaikwad, Khushboo Gaur, Khushboo Porwal had  arranged the lab to give it, its current aesthetics.
