In order to keep up with the industry requirements and to update the skills of the students to excel   in job  ,  Acropolis organizes various workshops and value added courses  for the management students.   A four day workshop on Six Sigma   was organized from Nov 28- Dec 1, 2017  under the aegis of Kaizen club.  The resource person for this workshop was Mr. Ramnendra Mandloi, from BT solutions, Indore. Mr Mandloi a gold medalist in Mechanical engineering from IIT Delhi, has over two decades of experience in Quality Management &  multivariate research . His clientele includes reputed companies like Kirloskar, M2W,Jash, ITL, AVTEC etc.  Besides this he is a regularly invited for Expert talk and open houses to Thailand, Malasia and Singapore.   He  has also designed specialized course on  Quality Management at IIT, Delhi.

The six sigma course organized at AFMR was a four day capsule specially designed for the MBA students  with examples and case study to give them sufficient exposure to the real world problem solving. On the first day there was a short inaugural of the event graced by Prinicpal AFMR Dr Manish Mittal and resource person Er Ramnendra Mandloi. There onwards relay  sessions were conducted punctuated by tea and lunch breaks. The sessions were  interactive and the demonstrations were based on Minitab software. In order to  reinforce the learning, the students were given assignments. The assignments were evaluated by the resource person. After completion  of the course all the students have to take examination, They will be awarded Green Belt Certificate  after clearing the examination. There were 50 students who have registered for the course.

The students were very excited to learn about six sigma and found the sessions very engrossing. The value added certification course truly added value to their profiles. The certification course was organized by Prof. Juhi Kamakoty, Faculty Coordiantor of Kaizen club
