Six Sigma Green Belt Certification – Nov 2014

Report
Quality club has taken the initiative for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification in Acropolis, In collaboration with KPMG, which is a renowned name in the field of Quality. After a six month efforts we were able to convince our students for the benefits and utility of this certification. A batch of 45 consists of I and III semester MBA students was ready to get the learning from KPMG SIX SIGMA trainer. Finally we had started on 27 November and finished it on 29 Nov followed by an exam by KPMG. The learning were really appreciable, our students find the way to improve the quality of either a service or product. Acropolis and KPMG provided an opportunity to the students in developing a more in-depth understanding of Six Sigma’s DMAIC methodology. Used to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational processes across industry, “DMAIC” is an acronym indicating Six Sigma business performance guidelines used to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control business performance. Collectively, the process becomes a powerful tool to lead an organization to stronger performance standards and can be skillfully used to streamline resources and clarify business goals to our students. The resource person Mr. Varun narola has taken 4 days Intensive classes with live projects to explain the SIX SIGMA methodology to our students. He has also involved in one our interaction with HOD’s of different departments to make them comfortable with the SIX SIGMA methodology. Really it’s a tough job to initiate which ACROPOLIS witnessed. The result and certificates which yet to come from KPMG are awaited eagerly by the students.
