Job Description

Description Robert Half is partnering with a non-profit organization in the educational space to place a Jr. Staff Accountant on a 6+ month contract. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to grow within a supportive team while contributing to a mission-driven organization. Responsibilities: + Process and code vendor invoices accurately and timely + Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card reconciliations + Help maintain the general ledger and support monthly closing activities + Prepare journal entries, including AP accruals and reclasses + Support account reconciliations and variance analysis + Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues + Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits + Use Excel to prepare reports and track expenses Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 1-2 years of accounting or AP experience + Basic understanding of GAAP, debits and credits + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) + Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn + NetSuite experience is a plus, but not required Additional Info: + Immediate need with a minimum 6-month commitment + Great foot-in-the-door opportunity with a values-driven non-profit + On-site position with a supportive and collaborative accounting team Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
