Job Description

Hotshot drivers provide an essential service to SSTC by transporting production assemblies to and from specified destinations located on SSTC Campus. Drivers are also responsible for inspecting their vehicles/trailers for mechanical items or issues relating to safe operation per DOT and company standards. Drivers must maintain a daily 24-hour logbook(electronic) record of duty status documenting all work and rest periods. The record of duty status must be kept current to the last change of duty status and records of the previous seven days retained by the driver in the truck and presented to law enforcement officials on demand. Drivers must stay in compliance with all state and Federal laws, along with SLB SSTC Transport's policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for loading, unloading of goods to ensure accurate, legal and expedited service (To include but not limited to: DVIR's, Electronic Logs, Fuel Receipts, Repair Receipts, DOT Roadside documentation, Tickets and Fines, and the driver's daily activity report) + Ensures safe loading, securement, and unloading of Finish Goods, Frames and production material. + Ensures the proper use, care, and possession of all company equipment, tools and machinery entrusted for proper execution of all job duties, returning them in better condition than found + Inspect truck equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water fluid levels and supplies such as hoses, clamps, etc. both pre-trip and post-trip; as well as properly documenting and ensuring completion of any deficiencies by the approved parties + Maintains radio or telephone contact with Hotshot Operations Supervisor to receive delivery or pick up instruction or to receive and or communicate notice of changes throughout assigned shift + Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job + Maintains electronic truck logs, according to state and Federal regulations + Performs and or ensures the completion of emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs as needed to expedite the completion of expected work + Performs all duties safely and free from suffering injury oneself or others Qualifications: + Holds a Class A CDL Driver's License + A minimum of 3 years' driving experience + High School Diploma + Meets all requirements on MVR report for Class A CDL Company policy is to provide every individual a fair and equal opportunity to seek employment and advancement at the Company without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, citizenship, genetic information, veteran or military status, disability, creed, ancestry, pregnancy (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions), marital status or any factors protected by federal, state, or local laws.
