Position : Process Engineer

Shift : 1st |  Hours : 6 AM 4 PM
Type : Full-Time |  Mode : Direct Placement
Pay Scale : $75-90,000/year (DOE)
Industry : Manufacturing

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a  Process Engineer with experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a strong focus on CNC machining. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and able to work cross-functionally to ensure continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and implement manufacturing processes to support

    production and improve efficiencies.
  •  

    Develop and maintain CNC machining processes and programs(primarily 5-axis) for new and existing parts.
  •  

    Collaborate with machinists and production staff to troubleshoot process and tooling issues.
  • Evaluate and improve tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and cutting strategies.
  • Design and document standardized work instructions, setup sheets, and process flows.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality and process issues.

  • Assist with new product introduction and ensure smooth transition from engineering to production.

  • Recommend and lead process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, scrap, and downtime.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing 

    Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of process engineering experience in a CNC machining environment,
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming (Mastercam or similar) and G-code.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Able to work on-site in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
