The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Support the success of Sales Professionals in the Americas Region for the Banking Segment.
  • Responsible for developing and presenting technical demonstrations, POC’s, RFP’s / RFI’s for Banking Solution products
  • Design, implement and execute a strategic business development plan for a defined territory of strategic customers.
  • Support customer outreach strategy; ensuring that the team is meeting annual targets for face-to-face meetings and sales goals.
  • Effectively run meetings with customers and sales executives on short notice or with little preparation.
  • Maintain active relationships with customers and intermediaries at all levels.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • High energy focused on achieving business objectives, strong partnership and time management skills.
  • Support review of team sales forecast including tracking of pipeline, renewals.
  • Expected to spend up to 50% of the time on the road meeting customers when conditions allow.
  • Identify business opportunities for new product and feature development through market and client exposure.
  • Partner with marketing, events, and product strategy teams to drive events and sales campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in finance, economics or related area required; graduate/second-level degree (e.g. Master's/MBA) degree preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in a sales role within in a software/data/services organization with a successful track record in sales, preferably selling solutions to the global marketplace.
  • Selling solutions to Banking customers
  • Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach and influence key decision makers.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills as well as outstanding client relationship management experience.
  • Speak and communicate convincingly in front of senior management, customers and larger audiences.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines.
  • Position requires travel (approximately 25-50%).

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $98,400.00 - $142,800.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
