Summary

Looking for full time employees for private primary Montessori school. Hours include 8am-2:30pm. Oak grove provides education for an average of 25 children each school year with ages ranging from 2.5 years old to 6 years old. Salary will be based on prior experience.

Teaching assistant will be expected to assist with child instruction during classwork, help maintain the beauty and organization of classroom environment, assist with pick up and drop off, and assist/care for children's needs throughout the school day. Previous child care experience is preferred, but not required.

Education needs: 15 hours of training a year, covered by employer.

Duties

• Supervise students in classroom, playground, and on field trips.
• Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
• Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
• Present subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using Montessori philosophy
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Assist in car loading and unloading.
• Take class attendance and maintain attendance records.
• Organize and supervise games and other recreational activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
• Requisition and stock teaching materials and supplies.
• Collect money from students for school-related projects.

Requirements

• Background check
• Minimum education requirement: high school diploma or GED
• Medical evaluation (Tb test and physical)

Employer Provides

• 15 hours of trainings per year - within the first 30 days of hire, 15 hours of trainings and first aid certification need to be completed
