VP OF SALES

The Opportunity:
Under executive leadership, the Vice President of Sales sets and drives high-level strategic sales direction to achieve organizational growth goals. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, embedding consultative sales processes, building team competencies, and ensuring pipeline clarity. The VP partners cross-functionally to align the market approach with operational delivery, strengthens customer confidence, and positions the company for long-term market leadership.   • Starting Pay Range $180,000-$220,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:
  • *Develops, executes, and adjusts high-level sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market opportunities.
  • *Implements and embeds consultative sales methodology across inside sales, field teams, and application specialists; trains, coaches, and enforces process adherence to build strategic selling capability.
  • *Ensure clarity and consistency of stage-based pipeline management across all territories, leveraging data-based forecasting to inform strategic decisions.
  • *Drives individual and team accountability through regular 1:1s, field observations, and deal reviews focused on process excellence and strategic outcomes.
  • Identifies market trends and emerging opportunities and adjusts go-to-market plans to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Hires, develops, and retains high-performing sales team members aligned with company values, strategic goals, and methodology.
  • *Continuously refines sales strategies including target markets, qualification, and closing processes to ensure *scalability and repeatability across geographies and verticals.
  • Partners with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure sales strategies align with product offerings and operational capabilities.
  • *Provides strategic sales input to executive leadership for overall business planning and market positioning.
  • Perform duties and special projects assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in technical or industrial sales environments.
  • Proven experience setting and executing high-level sales strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Deep understanding of sales leadership best practices and managing leading edge indicators.
  • Experience leading inside and outside sales teams, including international reps and technical sales support teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop salespeople, implement performance improvement plans, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Proficiency using CRM systems in a structured way to derive and act upon data insights.
  • Ability to drive sales growth through accountability to activities, CRM usage, and territory planning, not solely results.
  • Intellectual humility to recognize limitations, openness to critique, and commitment to self-development.
  • Understanding of procurement, project management, and bidding processes within relevant industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
