Job Description

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and looking to grow your career in residential mortgage lending? Quincy Credit Union is seeking a Junior Residential Underwriter/Processor to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of mortgage lending who’s eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with reviewing residential loan applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Gather and verify documentation from borrowers, third parties, and internal teams
  • Perform underwriting reviews per Fannie Mae and credit union guidelines 
  • Communicate with colleagues within the Lending Department to facilitate loan flow
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and investor regulations
  • Maintain accurate and organized loan files in the system
  • Follow TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) guidelines 

Requirements:

  • 5+ year of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or a related role 
  • Familiarity with residential loan documentation and underwriting basics
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Encompass is an advantage 
  • Experience with Velocity is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the underwriting space
  • Must be comfortable with working in a team atmosphere 
  • This is an on-site position
